Mechanical Engineering students interviewed on Channel 7
ABC Channel 7's Garth Kemp interviewed two Bourns College of
Engineering students on the Eyewitness News Morning Show on
September 26. The news crew came to UC Riverside, culminating a
week of daily live broadcasts from college campuses throughout
Southern California. Kemp (center) interviewed David McComb (left)
and Andy Rodger (right) about their club's Human Powered Vehicle (HPV)
"Victory". In April, the UCR student chapter of the
American Society of Mechanical Engineers competed in the HPV west
coast competition, and finished fourth overall in the endurance
category. HPVs are aerodynamically engineered vehicles similar to
enclosed bicycles. They are judged on design, safety and
performance.
