ME faculty are addressing energy issues such as electrical power generation, novel battery and supercapacitor architectures for high performance energy storage, waste heat recovery, and sustainable use of natural resources. More specifically, the ME faculty are actively investigating materials and design methodologies for high performance batteries and supercapacitors, thermoelectric and photovoltaic applications, solar thermal power conversion, electronic cooling innovations, high heat flux applications, thermal design, modeling, feasibility and optimization.
